Here are some benefits to using Eucalyptus Essential Oil:


1) Provide Joint Pain Relief


Research suggests that eucalyptus oil eases joint pain.

Eucalyptus oil helps to reduce pain and inflammation associated with many conditions. It may also be helpful to people experiencing back pain or those recovering from a joint or muscle injury. Added to warm baths, Eucalyptus Essential Oil’s analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties help to rejuvenate stiff and sore muscles.



2)Freshen Your Mouth/Breath


Mint isn’t the only weapon against stinky breath. Because of its antibacterial properties, eucalyptus oil can be used to fight the germs that cause unfortunate mouth odor. Some mouthwashes and toothpastes contain the essential oil as an active ingredient.

You can also add 8 drops to a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of purified water and hydrogen peroxide to make your own mouthwash

It’s possible that eucalyptus products may also help prevent plaque buildup on the teeth and gums by attacking the bacteria that cause tooth decay.


3) Help Ease Respiratory Issues


Respiratory conditions such as asthma and sinusitis may be helped by inhaling steam with added eucalyptus oil. The oil reacts with mucous membranes, not only reducing mucus but helping loosen it so that you can cough it up. Furthermore, as an air cleanser, Eucalyptus Oil is beneficial for eliminating mold that could contribute to respiratory issues. 4. Soothe cold sores The anti-inflammatory properties of eucalyptus can ease symptoms of herpes. Applying a carrier old with eucalyptus oil to a cold sore may reduce pain and speed up the healing process. Try mixing 4 drops Researchers also found that eucalyptus oil is capable of exerting a direct antiviral effect on the herpes virus, both as HSV-1 and HSV-2. It’s an interesting development that makes this oil an area of study as a natural herpes treatment. Try mixing 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil with aloe vera gel and applying to the cold sore to help find relief.
