Liane Wanson

Hi! I’m Liane!

I’m a mom of four kids, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a daughter in law and an aunt!

I think I have it all covered?

I have spent the last 6 years of my life totally overhauling who I am as a person.

As someone who was raised in a very strict religious family, survived a marriage of domestic violence, lost her mother due to a very sudden cancer, reversed an auto immune disease and then lost her own business she dreamed of- I felt very lost on who I was. I struggled to find inner happiness and peace, and it was apparent in how I was treating my body.

Overindulgence in unhealthy foods, alcohol, and no self motivation led me into a rut of unhappiness and feelings of helplessness. Until one day I had enough.

A lot of inner work, healthy eating choices, implementing daily workouts, TONS of meditation, and just plain yelling at the top of my lungs has helped get me into a much better mind space! And let's not forget THERAPY- whoever knocks it more than likely needs it the most!

I believe we are all a work of evolving energy and art within. I'm definitely not the same person I was a year ago, much less a decade ago! I think as Moms we need to take a step back and realize- it's ok to constantly be working on ourselves!  We don't have to be the epitome of perfection. Our kids aren't looking for us to make the coolest shaped sandwiches- they crave love, they are listening on how we talk to them, how we talk to ourselves, but most importantly- they are watching and seeing if we are HAPPY. They know better than we do ourselves.

The pressure is on to have it "all together"- and I can tell you I definitely do not. But I am trying my darndest (is that a word?) and sharing as I go along in this journey we call life.

I've remarried since and after over 18+ years of working in the hospitality industry l was able to become a stay at home mom once we had our fourth baby. Which led me to lots of feeling of gratefulness for being able to do so, yet also feeling like I wasn't contributing to the family! (The struggle is REAL in our minds!)

I've always loved cooking, crafting, traveling, and shopping  so I craved an outlet to share all of that with you on a budget too because these are a lot of dang kids around here!

Here at MyDomesticatedBitofChaos you'll find all of the ins and outs of our  every day chaos, lots of recipes, tips and tricks on juggling a large family, some cool budget conscious fashion finds, and so much more that I will share with you guys!

Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me!
